In addition to letting users download entire playlists rather than single songs, the new software lets users rate the files they download. File trading networks are teeming with poor quality files, which are often incorrectly named, and sometimes even hiding advertizing within. And don't forget about the RIAA and others' efforts to seed P2P networks with garbage files. The potential to filter out poor quality or otherwise undesirable files is great for users, and it's sure to keep the RIAA fuming.
